How long do Moray Eels live?
The lifespan of moray eels varies depending on the species. Some species, such as the giant moray eel (Gymnothorax javanicus), can live for up to 25 years in the wild. Other species, such as the snowflake moray eel (Echidna nebulosa), have a lifespan of around 10 years. In captivity, moray eels can live for even longer, with some individuals reaching ages of 30 or even 40 years.
