How to Use a Can of Peas for a Goldfish

Goldfish will eat almost anything and it's easy to overfeed them, so it's important to provide them the right food. Peas can safely be given to goldfish to supplement their diet and even help relieve constipation. Some pet owners even claim that peas increase the fish's buoyancy.

Instructions

    • 1

Drain the peas and remove one from the can.

    • 2

Take the skin off of a pea by pinching a bit of the skin. The pea should pop out with slight pressure.

    • 3

Cut the pea into small pieces so the fish don't have a problem closing their mouths around them.

    • 4

Place a piece of the pea, or the whole pea, in the water, depending on the size of your fish. Wait until the fish eats the one before offering another.
