Instructions
Provide the black goldfish with a safe home, free of competitive tank mates. Black goldfish won't feed well if they are housed with more aggressive fish.
Provide a filtration system for the fish. While you can successfully keep a black goldfish in a bowl or aquarium without filtration, they will thrive if you provide them with a filter system.
Keep tank decorations to a minimum. Because the black goldfish's eyes protrude from the side of it's head, they can easily be damaged. Plastic plants and other aquarium objects with sharp edges can injure the fish's eyes.
Feed the black goldfish fish pellets or flake food. You can also feed the fish fresh food such as cucumbers, oranges, blood worms and lettuce.
How to Care for a Black Goldfish
Black goldfish look similar to most goldfish but they have large bulging eyes protruding from the sides of their heads. They are easy goldfish to care for and are a good choice if you are just starting out an aquarium. Low maintenance and content with most conditions, your black goldfish could live up to 10 years.
