How big can pearls get?
Pearls can reach remarkable sizes, exceeding the boundaries of what some might expect. One of the largest pearls ever discovered was the Pearl of Allah, obtained from a giant clam from the Palawan Island region in the Philippines. This pearl weighed a whopping 14 pounds and was around 2 feet in diameter, making it bigger than a grapefruit!
