Where does the margay live?

The margay (Leopardus wiedii) is a small, nocturnal cat found in the tropical rainforests of Central and South America. It ranges from southern Mexico through most of Central America (except El Salvador) and into South America, as far south as Argentina and Uruguay. The margay inhabits a variety of habitats, including primary and secondary forests, as well as cloud forests and mangrove swamps. It is found at elevations from sea level up to 2,500 meters.
