Instructions

Add the distilled water to a clean bucket. If you will be adding or changing a large amount of water for more than one nano reef, you will need several buckets.

    • 2

Add the reef salt to your distilled water. Use the measuring cup and tablespoon to add the reef salt according to the ratio indicated on the packaging. Some reef salt products will recommend you add 1/2 cup of salt and an additional 2 tablespoons of salt for each gallon of water. But always read the packaging to ensure you use the recommended ratio indicated by the salt manufacturer.

Mix the water and salt with the paint mixing stick. Let the water and salt stand for 24 hours before adding it to your aquarium.
