Where did bass come from?

Bass guitar was created as a solution for the fact that traditional guitars didn't make enough low-pitched sounds. During the early days of the 1930s, a luthier named Paul Tutmarc created the first bass guitar and called his invention the "bass fiddle". The bass guitar started as a double bass played sideways which was also called the "Bull Fiddle". However, it wasn't introduced until Leo Fender created the "Precision Bass" in 1951. After Fender's invention, the bass guitar started making its place in the music world and became a key instrument for rhythm sections.
