Why do dolphins blow water from their holes?
Dolphins do not exhale water from their blowholes. Instead, they exhale air, just as humans do when we exhale from our mouths or noses. When they rise to the surface, dolphins sometimes exhibit behaviors that resemble water being expelled, such as blowing bubbles or creating a mist by slapping their tails on the surface of the water. However, these actions do not involve water passing through their blowholes.
