Are kookaburras an introduced species and if they were where from?

Kookaburras are not an introduced species. They are native to Australia and New Guinea. There are four species of kookaburra, all of which are found in Australia. The most common species is the laughing kookaburra, which is found in all parts of Australia except for Tasmania. The other three species are the blue-winged kookaburra, the white-throated kookaburra, and the rufous-bellied kookaburra. These three species are found in northern Australia and New Guinea.
