Can the yellow tang kill other fish?
The yellow tang, scientific name Zebrasoma flavescens, in some cases might display aggression towards other tangs and territorial fishes, particularly if in a small or crowded aquarium setting. These territorial behaviors typically include chasing, fin nipping, and aggression while competing for dominance and space. While not a primary characteristic known for killing other fish species, in instances of extreme territorial behaviour and limited living space, it's possible yellow tangs can cause significant stress and potential harm to certain individual fish.
