What type of plants do seahorses eat?

Seahorses are not herbivores! They are carnivores and their diet consists mainly of small crustaceans like:

* Plankton: Tiny animals and plants floating in the water.

* Shrimp: Small, often transparent crustaceans.

* Copepods: Small, free-swimming crustaceans.

* Mysid shrimp: Larger, shrimp-like crustaceans.

* Amphipods: Small, shrimp-like crustaceans that often live in crevices.

Seahorses have long, tubular snouts that they use to suck up their prey. They are very efficient hunters and can consume a large number of small crustaceans in a single day.
