Nestling

* Born naked and blind

* Completely dependent on parents for food and care

* Develop feathers and begin to see within a few days

* Begin to learn to fly at around 3 weeks old

Fledgling

* Leave the nest and begin to fly independently

* Still somewhat dependent on parents for food

* Continue to learn how to fly and hunt

* Become fully independent at around 6 months old

Adult

* Fully mature and capable of living independently

* Breed during the spring and summer months

* Produce 1-2 broods of young per year

* Live for around 10 years in the wild
