What kind of cells do starfish have?

Starfish, like all animals except sponges, are multicellular. Their bodies consist of many kinds of cells that differentiate and assemble into tissues and organ systems. They have epithelial cells that cover the skin and line internal organs, digestive cells in the digestive system, muscle cells for movement, nerve cells for transmission of signals and coordination of body functions, and reproductive cells for the production of offspring.
