What do box jellyfish look like?

Body:

- Bell-shaped

- Transparent gelatinous cube in appearance

- Typically between 2 to 4 cm (0.8 to 1.6 in) across

- Some species can exceed 40 cm (16 in)

Tentacles:

- Up to 6 feet long (1.8m) when stretched out fully but contracted when stationary (about 6 to 24 inches, but typically about 12 inches long )

- Up to 50 of them hanging from each corner of the box body - 4 thick primary tentacles; up to 46 smaller tentacles around these thicker ones
