Chia Pet Instructions

A Chia Pet is a terracotta sculpture, usually of an animal, produced by Joseph Enterprises that sprouts chia, a green flowering plant. The chia, which is often used to represent fur or hair on the animal, takes approximately five days to grow, and must be watered daily. Chia pets grew in popularity in the early 80s thanks to the national television marketing campaign of the product's maker and catch phrase "Ch-Ch-Ch-Chia." Chia pets are meant to be kept indoors, and are often found on a desk, bookshelf or table.
