I got a chinchilla 3 months ago but at the pet store she was in cage with male and now pregnant does there have to be her when gives birth after has them?

It is possible that your chinchilla is pregnant, as male and female chinchillas can reproduce together. Chinchilla gestation periods typically last between 110 and 115 days, so if your chinchilla was housed with a male 3 months ago, she may be close to giving birth.

It is advisable to separate the male chinchilla from the female during the pregnancy and for at least a week after she has given birth. This is because male chinchillas can sometimes become aggressive towards their offspring and may even kill them.

Once your chinchilla gives birth, you will need to provide her with a quiet and comfortable place to rest and nurse her babies. You should also make sure that she has access to plenty of food and water. The babies will typically start eating solid food around 3 weeks of age, and they should be weaned by the time they are 8 weeks old.

If you have any questions or concerns about your chinchilla's pregnancy, it is always a good idea to consult with a veterinarian experienced in caring for chinchillas.
