Things You'll Need
- Sea monkeys
- Food dispensing tool
- Toys
- Pen light or small flashlight
Instructions
Use a Robo Diver or other device that dispenses food. You can find these in most pet stores. The items are made of plastic and can easily drop to the bottom of the tank where it will automatically dispense food every few minutes. You can remove the device at any point. After a few weeks your sea monkeys will automatically appear at the bottom of the tank where they’ll wait for the food to appear.
Buy specific sea monkey toys from your Toy Store or from the official Sea Monkey website. The most popular toy is a pack of “magic gems” that you can place directly in the water. While the pets might ignore the rocks at first, they quickly learn how to play on the rocks and use them for recreation.
Mix newer sea monkeys with an older batch of sea monkeys that already do tricks or play in the water. The little creatures learn by example and will pick up on the habits of their elders after a few days and sometimes a lot faster. Before long your new batch of sea monkeys will be trained just like your older ones.
Turn off the lights in the room and use a pen light or small flashlight around the bowl. Sea monkeys are drawn to light and will immediately head towards the light. You can move the light around to get your sea monkeys to dance, somersault or do anything else you like. You can then start adjusting the light and your creatures will still do the tricks as soon as they see the pen light.
