Remove your drawers from the dresser and clean the drawers of clothing, as well as all evidence of the mice, such as hair or droppings. Identify the places where the mice have chewed through the wood and note where the holes are located.

Spray generic mouse repellent spray extensively onto and around the hole where the mice entered and on the wall behind your clothing drawers. This eliminates scent trails that the mice use to locate their dens, and provides an overpowering scent that will drive mice away.

    • 3

Place mouse traps throughout the room where your clothing drawers are located. By placing these assorted traps, mice will identify your room as a hazard zone and will likely avoid it. Keep in mind, however, that this means the mice may take up refugee in other areas of your house, such as other bedrooms or the kitchen.

Attach sheet metal to your drawer with duct tape if mice continue to chew through your dresser. If mice manage to still get into your clothing dresser in spite of metal sheets, traps and spray, it is advisable to call a professional exterminator.
