What is feroza stone?

Feroza, also known as turquoise or firuzeh, is a gemstone associated with the mineral turquoise, which is a hydrated copper aluminium phosphate mineral usually exhibiting a sky blue to greenish blue color. It has been considered a valuable stone in many cultures for centuries and is often used in jewelry and decorative objects. Feroza is mainly composed of opaque, cryptocrystalline to microcrystalline aggregates of turquoise mineral, with an aggregate hardness of around 5-6 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness. It is primarily found in copper-rich rocks and its color can vary depending on the concentration of copper and iron impurities present in the mineral.
