Where do pike live?

Northern pike are found in shallow vegetated areas of fresh water lakes and rivers. They prefer clear water with a temperature range between 10-25 degrees Celsius. They are also found in brackish waters and estuaries. Pike can be found in shallow waters near the shore, as well as in deeper waters closer to the middle of a lake or river. They are most commonly found in areas with abundant aquatic vegetation, such as reeds, cattails, and water lilies. Pike use these areas to hide from predators and ambush their prey. Additionally, pike can be found in areas with rocks, fallen logs, and other structures that provide cover.
