Code Programming
-
If you have access to the specific product codes (either through the instruction manual or websites like the URC Phillips page), your job is simple. Manually switch on the device in question. Press and hold the Enter and Recall buttons (ENT and RCL) until the red light on the remote comes on. Release them and press the button corresponding to your type of product (i.e. TV, VCR or DVD). Enter the three appropriate three-digit code on the number pad. Press power and your device should switch off.
Code Search Option
-
If you don't have the code and can't find it anywhere, don't fret; there is another way to control your device. Turn on your device and point the remote at it. Press and hold the RCL and ENT buttons together. Wait for the light to flash on and release the buttons. Press the product button (TV, VCR etc.) and enter 990, 992 or 994 from the number pad. Press up on your volume control until you notice the device respond. Hit the product button again to finalize.
Non-Working Remote
-
For remotes that are no longer working, there is a simple way to reset the device. Take off the back door from the battery compartment. Remove both batteries and let the remote reset for a minute. Place the same batteries back in the remote but in the reverse compartments and hold the power button while you do it. Wait for the light to come on and release the button.
