What does the zedonk look like?

Characteristics

The zedonk typically exhibits a zebra-like pattern on the head and neck, with a more uniform dark colour on the body and legs. This colouring is due to the fact that zebras have a single dominant striping gene, while donkeys have a double recessive striping gene. When these two genes are combined, the result is a zedonk with a partial striping pattern.

The mane of a zedonk is typically shorter than that of a zebra and longer than that of a donkey, with a texture that is intermediate between the two. The legs are usually slender, with hooves that are similar to those of a donkey.

Size and Weight

The size of a zedonk can vary depending on the size of its parents. On average, a mature male zedonk can weigh between 250 to 350 kilograms, while a mature female can weigh between 225 to 300 kilograms. The height of a zedonk can range between 1.2 to 1.4 meters at the shoulder.
