Here's why they don't stay at the top:
* Their natural habitat: In the wild, glass frogs live in the rainforest canopy, perched on leaves and branches.
* Their feeding habits: They primarily feed on insects, which they catch by jumping and grabbing with their sticky tongues. This hunting style requires them to be agile and able to move quickly.
* Their skin: Their translucent skin makes them more vulnerable to predators on the ground, so they prefer the safety of higher elevations.
While you might occasionally see a glass frog at the top of the tank, it's not their preferred location. They typically spend their time exploring the foliage and branches provided in their enclosure.
