Things You'll Need
- Terra cotta plate
- Small bowl
- Turkey baster
Instructions
Place the terra cotta plate into the frog tank. Choose a location that is easy to access, since you want the frogs to feed as easily as possible.
Fill a small bowl outside of the tank with some water. Room temperature water is perfectly acceptable, just be sure the water is neither extremely hot nor cold.
Remove the bloodworms from the packaging, and place into the bowl of water. If they were frozen into a block, allow them to soften and separate.
Squeeze the bulb of the turkey baster while outside of the water before inserting the tip of the turkey baster into the bowl near the concentration of bloodworms.
Release the bulb of the turkey baster, drawing up the water and bloodworms.
Insert the tip of the turkey baster into the frog tank touching the terra cotta plate, and slowly squeeze the bulb to consistently expel the bloodworms onto it. In this manner you can watch the frogs eat the worms, and make sure that excess food does not remain contaminating the water.
Remove the turkey baster, then clean it and the bowl.
