Things You'll Need
- 20-gallon glass aquarium
- Plastic container
- Water pump
- Stones
- Water
Instructions
Set up your terrarium in a 20-gallon glass aquarium as you normally would.
Place a 2-inch-deep plastic container into your aquarium. This will be the bin that collects your water from your waterfall, as well as act as your water receptacle. The placement is up to you, as is the length and width of the container. Insert the container so that the top of the container is flush with the soil level in your terrarium.
Place your water pump it into a water source, according to package directions, and turn it on. This will allow you to determine the water flow. Most pumps can adjust the water flow. Usually, a slower flow works best.
Place stones of different sizes and color into your plastic container inside your terrarium. Insert your pump into the stones. Make sure it is positioned so that the stones do not stop water flow.
Fill your container with water and turn on your pump. Adjust the water level if you are not getting a good flow.
