- Rubber gloves
- Cardboard
- Shallow bowl
- Paper towel
- Unwanted kitchen strainer
- Small fish net
- Hot water and soap
Instructions
Rinse out an empty fish bowl with bottled water.
Fill the fish bowl 3/4 full with bottled or fresh spring water.
Remove the frog from the Frog-o-Sphere. Wear rubber gloves when handling the frog and cleaning the tank, as the frog could spread salmonella and other infectious diseases.
Lower the frog into the fish bowl. Poke several holes into a piece of cardboard and use the cardboard to cover the fish bowl. This will ensure that the frog cannot escape.
Fill a shallow bowl with spring or bottled water. Remove the bamboo plant from the Frog-o-Sphere aquarium and place it into the bowl, paying attention to not damage the plant's shoots or roots.
Remove any decorative objects inside of the Frog-o-Sphere and rinse them with bottled water. Set them onto a piece of paper towel to dry.
Empty out the water inside the aquarium and flush it down the toilet. According to the Frog-o-Sphere instructional manual, the water should not be placed into any sinks that are used by humans.
Empty the rocks at the bottom of the aquarium into an unwanted kitchen strainer. Rinse them off with bottled water.
Wet a piece of paper towel with bottled water and use it to wipe down the inner walls of the aquarium.
Pour the gravel back into the aquarium and replace all of the decorative elements, including the bamboo which should be pushed slightly into the gravel to ensure it remains erect.
Fill the aquarium with bottled water until there is approximately 1/2 inch of space remaining at the top of the bowl.
Remove the frog from the fish bowl and carefully carry it back to the Frog-o-Sphere. Use your gloved hands or a small fish net to move the frog.
Cover the Frog-o-Sphere with its plastic lid.
Wash your hands with hot water and soap to ensure that any bacteria found on the frog or the tank is removed.
