Where do Jack rusels come from?

The Jack Russell Terrier is named after the Reverend John Russell, a fox hunting enthusiast and breeder who lived in Devon, England, in the 1800s. Jack Russell was passionate about fox hunting and wanted a dog that was small enough to follow the fox into its den but tough enough to work independently. He selectively bred terriers from different breeds, including the Fox Terrier, the Old English White Terrier, and the Beagle. The resulting breed, the Jack Russell Terrier, was known for its agility, determination, and hunting prowess.
