Can you put two female and male gerbils together?

Gerbils are social creatures and do best when they are kept in groups of at least two. However, it is not advisable to put two female or two male gerbils together. Two females will likely fight, and two males will likely compete for dominance. This can lead to injuries and even death. If you want to keep gerbils, it is best to get a same sex group with at least 2-4 females or males.
