Methotrexate (Rheumatrex, Trexall) belongs to a class of medications called antimetabolites. It is used to treat various types of cancer, including lymphoma, leukemia, breast cancer, and certain types of skin cancer. Methotrexate can also be used to treat severe psoriasis, Crohn's disease, and rheumatoid arthritis.
Methyprednisolone (Solu-Medrol) is a corticosteroid, or steroid, medication that is used to reduce inflammation in a number of conditions, such as allergies, asthma, emphysema, and lupus. It is also used to treat certain cancers and to prevent rejection after organ transplantation.
