What is a nirdle?
A nirdle is a small, freshwater snail that is found in North America. It is one of the most common freshwater snails in the world, and can be found in a wide variety of habitats, including lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams. Nirdle are typically brown or black in color, and have a spiral shell that is about 1/4 inch in diameter. They feed on algae and other microorganisms, and are an important part of the food chain in many aquatic ecosystems.
