Can budgies cause chest problems in children?

There is no evidence or reports that suggest budgies or any type of parrots can directly cause chest problems in children. Budgies, also known as budgerigars, are small parrots commonly kept as pets. Like any bird, they can potentially carry microorganisms in their droppings; therefore, proper cage hygiene and responsible pet ownership practices are recommended to ensure both child and pet health. In general, bird species aren't typically associated with causing major chest ailments.
