When do guinea pigs turn fluffy?

Guinea pigs don't really "turn fluffy" in the way some animals change fur with the seasons. They have a consistent coat throughout their lives.

However, there are a couple of things that might make you think your guinea pig is getting fluffier:

* Growth: Guinea pigs are constantly growing until they reach adulthood around 6-8 months old. As they grow, their fur will become thicker and fuller.

* Grooming: If you're regularly brushing your guinea pig, it will help to remove dead fur and make the remaining coat look fluffier.

* Breed: Some guinea pig breeds have naturally thicker and fluffier coats than others. For example, Peruvian and Alpaca guinea pigs have long, flowing fur.

If you're noticing a change in your guinea pig's fur, it's important to watch for any other signs of illness, like loss of appetite, lethargy, or skin problems. If you're concerned, consult with a veterinarian.
