Warts are caused by a virus called the human papillomavirus (HPV). Guinea pigs are not susceptible to HPV and do not carry this virus.
While guinea pigs can carry other types of viruses and bacteria, these are generally not transmissible to humans.
However, it's always a good idea to practice good hygiene when handling any animal, including guinea pigs. Wash your hands thoroughly after interacting with them to prevent the spread of any potential germs.
