What animals do the bluebonnet attract?

Bluebonnets, while beautiful to our eyes, aren't particularly attractive to most animals. They don't offer much in the way of food or shelter.

However, some bees and butterflies may be attracted to the nectar in the flowers.

The seeds of the bluebonnet are also a food source for birds, especially finches, but these birds usually only eat them after the flowers have died back.

Overall, bluebonnets are more of a visual treat for humans than a significant source of attraction for animals.
