How does one guinea pig say hello to another?

Guinea pigs don't actually say "hello" like we do! But they have their own unique ways of greeting each other:

* Sniffing: This is the most common way for guinea pigs to greet each other. They will sniff each other's bottoms, sides, and heads to get acquainted with their scent and learn who they are.

* Chirping and whistling: Guinea pigs might make these sounds to show excitement or affection.

* Grooming: Guinea pigs will sometimes groom each other by licking and nibbling their fur. This is a sign of trust and bonding.

* Rumblestrutting: This is a more assertive greeting, where a guinea pig will puff up their chest, stand tall, and vibrate their bodies while making a rumbling noise.

So, while they might not say "hello" in the way we do, they definitely have their own language of greetings!
