What is the reason Mexican free-tailed bats migrate?

The main reason Mexican free-tailed bats migrate is to find more favorable environmental conditions. During the summer months, they live in northern Mexico and the southwestern United States, where they can find an abundance of food and roosting sites. However, as winter approaches, the weather in these areas becomes too cold for the bats to survive.
