Do Tasmanian devils live alone or in groups?
In the wild, Tasmanian devils are solitary creatures, meaning they prefer to live and hunt independently. They have well-defined home ranges that partly overlap with those of the same sex but actively avoid contact with other individuals of the same sex outside the breeding season. However, they may occasionally associate with other devils for brief periods, such as when scavenging on carcasses or while resting in a communal den.
