Instructions

    • 1

Cut the bottom wire pieces for the hut frame with the wire cutters. Cut two 7-inch pieces.

    • 2

Cut three 7-inch roof framing pieces from the wire. The fabric will stretch over this to form a "U"-shaped hut that is open on both sides.

    • 3

Bend three of the 7-inch pieces into "U" shapes. Attach them to the two bottom pieces with pliers by wrapping the end around the base and squeezing with the pliers to close the loop. The three roof pieces should be about 2.5 inches apart along the bottom wires. The finished frame will look like a tunnel.

    • 4

Apply a small amount of glue to all the top surfaces of the roof wires. Lay the fabric piece over the roof frame, centering it so the sides fall evenly. Gently press the fabric to the glue to adhere it. You should have 1/2 inch of fabric hanging over the bottom and both sides.

    • 5

Fold the fabric under along the bottom edges and secure it to itself with more glue. This gives the bottom edges a finished look. Repeat this for the side openings to finish those edges.

Allow it to dry completely before giving it to your hamster. The great thing about this hut is that it is lightweight so the hamster can move it around and flip it.
