Instructions
Remove old bedding or substrate from the hamster's enclosure once per week, or as necessary.
Clean the empty enclosure thoroughly with a soft cloth and warm water.
Replace the bedding in the hamster's enclosure with fresh wood shavings (never use cedar or pine) or other bedding. You may choose to provide your hamster with shredded paper or cotton for nesting.
Provide chew toys for gnawing and scratching to keep your hamster's teeth and nails from growing too long.
Observe your hamster closely, and watch for any extended periods of inactivity or lack of grooming. This is often a sign of illness.
