Check to see if your female hamster is looking pregnant. Clean the cage very well so that she will have a clean cage to give birth in. Make sure that it is full of clean and fresh bedding.

    • 2

Put in some extra bedding for your hamster. Also, add toilet paper or tissue to the mix so that she can chew it up and give herself more bedding to make a nest with.

    • 3

Keep the cage in an area that is not too hot and not too cold. Make sure that she isn't by a window and keep it out of the sun.

    • 4

Leave the hamster alone. If you notice that she is giving birth and the male hamster is still in the cage, remove him so he won't bother her. Otherwise, leave the cage alone for a few days and let the mother do her work!
