Things You'll Need
- Plastic container
- Potting soil
- Grass seeds
- Coffee filters
Instructions
Pour an inch of gravel, sand, dirt and pebbles into the bottom of the plastic container to assist with drainage, and then pour 2 to 4 inches of potting soil over it.
Sprinkle grass seeds over the soil and, then spray them with fresh water.
Cover the seeds and soils with coffee filters and spray them with water as well. The filters will trap the moisture and help prevent the ground from drying out during the initial seeding process.
Place the container in the path of sunlight and wait several days until the grass begins to sprout. Remove all the filters and then keep watering the soil several times a week. Ensure that the ground has enough moisture for the grass, but that it does not become soggy.
