      Give your hamster treats to get it used to you in a positive way. Examples of treats for hamsters include nuts, fresh vegetables, seeds, cooked eggs, cooked meat and yogurt.       Pick up your hamster with two hands. Hold it gently, but securely. Allow it to move around somewhat in your hands. Hold it for a short time only.
