How long do hamminbirds live?
Hummingbirds have an average lifespan of three to five years in the wild. However, some species have been known to live for up to 12 years. The lifespan of a hummingbird is influenced by a variety of factors, including species, habitat, food availability, and predators. Hummingbirds that live in tropical climates tend to have longer lifespans than those that live in temperate climates. Hummingbirds that have access to abundant food sources are also more likely to live longer than those that do not. Predators, such as hawks, falcons, and owls, can also shorten the lifespan of hummingbirds.
