What kind of wood chips can you put into your dwarf hamster cage?

You should not use wood chips of any kind for small pets that will be ingesting these items, like dwarf hamsters. Instead, paper/aspen bedding or other safe hamster beddings should be used. Wood chips can cause severe health problems in dwarf hamsters.
