How long are pandas teeth?
Giant pandas have two types of teeth: molars and premolars. The molars are located in the back of the mouth and are used for grinding food, while the premolars are located in the front of the mouth and are used for cutting and slicing food. Pandas have a dental formula of 2(I0/1 C1/1 PM4/4 M2/3), meaning that they have a total of 42 teeth. The lower central incisors of pandas can grow up to 1 inch (2.5 cm) long.
