Where does the pandas live?

Pandas (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) primarily inhabit temperate forests in the mountainous regions of southwest China, specifically the provinces of Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu. These areas are characterized by the presence of bamboo, which constitutes the main diet of pandas. Pandas' habitat requirements include bamboo forests at higher elevations, ranging from 5000 to 10000 feet above sea level. These mountainous regions provide diverse topography, including steep slopes, ravines, valleys, and mountain streams. Pandas thrive in cool and humid environments with abundant vegetation and an adequate supply of fresh water sources.
