Instructions

  1. Directions for Placing Ants in an Ant Farm

    • 1

Fill out the ant order form inside the ant habitat and mail it. If the habitat was ordered online, usually the ants will automatically be mailed within two weeks from the day it was ordered. If the weather conditions are too hot or cold, the shipment of the ants will be delayed.

    • 2

Sprinkle a few drops of water in the habitat when the ants arrive, because they will most likely be thirsty after the long journey in a tube.

    • 3

Place the tube of ants in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes, as this makes them less active and much easier to get into the ant farm. Do not put them in the freezer department of the refrigerator.

    • 4

Remove the ants from the refrigerator. Open the cap of the ant habitat and carefully open the tube of ants. Turn the tube upside down into the opening of the habitat and tap the tube to make the ants fall in and quickly replace the cap on the habitat.
