Does a bumble bee bat migrate?
Bumble bees are not bats, they are a type of bee. Bees do not migrate in the same way that birds do, but some species do move to warmer climates during the winter months. Bumble bees are able to survive in cold climates by entering a state of dormancy called diapause. During diapause, the bee's metabolism slows down and it conserves energy by not eating or moving around. When the weather warms up, the bee will come out of diapause and start to feed again.
