Do spiny anteaters have four legs?
Spiny anteaters, also known as echidnas, do indeed have four legs. These small, mammal-like animals belong to the monotreme order, which means they lay eggs instead of giving birth to live young. Spiny anteaters are covered in coarse fur on their backs and upper sides. They live in Australia and New Guinea, primarily on the edges of rainforest and forests. Their four legs feature strong digging claws. They do not, however, have an external tail.
