Instructions

    • 1

Place 1/4 cup of shredded vegetables and fruits into the feeding bowl of the cage on a daily basis. Start with raspberries, figs, strawberries, cantaloupe, blueberries and green leafy vegetables. If your water dragon does not like fruit, simply give it all vegetables.

    • 2

Pour a 1 cup mixture of grasshoppers, crickets, earthworms, meal worms and even small fish into a separate bowl and place it inside the cage. Once you figure out which insects the water dragon prefers, you can feed it only what it likes instead of the mixture.

    • 3

Place a water bowl inside the Asian water dragon cage and keep it constantly filled with fresh water.

    • 4

Place a whole dead mouse inside the water dragon's cage once per week to provide needed calcium and protein.

    • 5

Feed baby water dragons that are less than six months old at least once per day. Once the Asian water dragon matures to be one year of age, reduce feeding frequency to once every two to three days.
